Importance of pronouns
Why're pronouns important?
Pronouns are important because it shows respect towards the person you are talking to and makes them feel comfortable in their external appearance and gender identity.

Examples
Examples of some pronouns are..
she/her/hers = female identifying
he/him/his = male identifying
them/them/theirs = nonbinary identifying

Examples on how to be inclusive
How to ask/share, etc.
In a group setting, maybe don't say 'hey ladies/gentlemen" instead, use phrases like "Hey y'all/everyone, how is everyone doing?"
How to share your own pronouns, simply greet a person or group "My name is --- and my pronouns are ---"
How to ask for a person or group their pronouns "What are your pronouns?" or "What pronouns would you like me to use?"

Do's and Don'ts

| Address student/staff with their proper pronouns | Address student/staff with common pronouns if they go by gender neutral pronouns |
| Be more open with people who use pronouns | Reject or refuse to use a person's preferred pronouns |
| If you misgender someone, you should apologize privately and address them by their proper pronouns | Make an apology a big deal |
